Travel cover has arrived!

As part of our commitment to improve every facet of business spending and expenses, we’re delighted to announce that we’ve partnered with Mastercard and AIG Australia Ltd to offer travel insurance for all Archa cardholders.

We have some big plans this year in this space, including elevated travel rewards, discounts and partnerships that will massively upgrade the way businesses travel.

As part of phase 1, we’re excited to have added travel insurance to Archa cards. To be eligible, you’ll need to charge the entire cost of your flights on your Archa card. Cover, which is subject to the terms, conditions and exclusion of the policy wording, is provided for the following:  

1. Travel Inconvenience:

Coverage: Worldwide

How it works:

Trip delay

  1. Cardholder buys a flight ticket on their eligible Mastercard card
  2. The flight is delayed for more than 4 hours. Cardholder submits a claim with required documentation
  3. Claim is accepted
  4. Cardholder is paid up to AUD$140 for lodging and meals

Trip cancellation

  1. Cardholder buys a flight ticket on their eligible Mastercard card
  2. Following the cancellation of your journey prior to the start date of your journey, the non-refundable unused portion of your travel/accommodation arrangements
  3. Claim is accepted
  4. Cardholder is paid up to AUD$1400 per person
Required documents:
  • Copy of Ticket and Boarding Pass
  • Letter from the schedule airline certifying about the delay.
  • Transaction verification confirming the full passenger fare was charged to  your Archa card including receipt;
  • Receipt for meals and lodging and other supporting documents.

To claim: Cardholder will need to log in to Insurance Online Portal to submit their claim.

2. Travel Accident

Coverage: Worldwide  

How it works:

Loss of hand or foot

  1. Cardholder buys a flight ticket
  2. Cardholder suffers a loss due to an accident overseas, such as a loss of a hand or foot. Cardholder submits a claim with required documentation
  3. Cardholder receives the benefit payment per the Schedule of Losses up to the maximum benefit of AUD$700,000 for an international trip.

Accidental death

  1. Cardholder buys a flight ticket
  2. If you die during your journey whilst you are travelling on a common carrier, the amount payable will be up to AUD$70,000 for an international trip.
Required documents:
  • Copy of Ticket and Boarding Pass.
  • Transaction verification confirming the full passenger fare was charged to your Archa card including receipt
  • Receipt payments for medical expenses
  • Death certificate and/or attending physician statement or autopsy report for Travel Accident in respect of accidental death cover and other supporting documents

To claim: Cardholders (and in the case of Accidental death, the executor/beneficiaries) log in to Insurance Online Portal to submit their claim easily.

3. Medical Expenses

Coverage: Overseas trips  

How it works:

  1. Cardholder buys an overseas flight ticket
  2. For example, the Cardholder incurs overseas medical expense of AUD$5,000 during the trip. The Cardholder submits a claim with required documentation.
  3. The maximum limit under the overseas medical expenses is up to AUD$140,000 as per the policy, and Cardholder is paid the AUD$5,000 based on supporting documents submitted.
Required documents:
  • Copy of Ticket and Boarding Pass
  • Transaction verification confirming the full passenger fare was charged to your Archa card including receipt
  • Receipt payments for medical expenses and other supporting documents
