Archa becomes a principal issuing member of Mastercard

In partnership with Mastercard®, Archa will provide a new, innovative credit card with features to help reduce admin costs and track spending; and it will issue these cards in its own right as a principal member of Mastercard launching a host of in-app tools to help small businesses have more control over their finances and get instant access to working capital.

Melbourne based Fintech, Archa, has today announced it has become a principal issuing member of Mastercard. This grants Archa direct access to Mastercard’s leading global payments network and resources and builds on the strategic partnership between the two organisations announced earlier this year. The enhanced relationship will see Archa launch an innovative credit card, alongside a host of in-app tools to help small business owners manage their spending and gain more control over their finances. This partnership speaks volumes to Mastercard's approach towards fintech globally, as it aims to support new propositions that assist and enable the small business community to thrive. Archa will be launching its business credit card later this year as it aims to get a foothold in the small business market. With many businesses impacted by the COVID lockdowns, the launch of their small business credit card will be timely, providing a safe and secure alternative for businesses as they get back on their feet. Furthermore, in issuing its own cards Archa is now able to collaborate with other Fintechs to bring joint propositions to market, driving more value for small business owners and operators.

Oliver Kidd, CEO of Archa says, “This is a really important strategic milestone for Archa. We’re thrilled to have the support of Mastercard as a critical foundation to our business model. We look forward to working closely with Mastercard over the coming years to support small businesses throughout the region.”

“Mastercard is thrilled to welcome Archa to our global network of exciting fintechs,” said Kallan Hogan, Vice President, Fintech, Mastercard Australasia. “Archa’s business card offering closely aligns with our mission to support small businesses by providing them with business centric products and tools to support their growth through all economic cycles.”

Archa are currently live and testing with a select group of beta customers. It’s possible to apply to join the beta program or sign-up to their corporate waitlist.
