We're pleased to welcome Paul Askew to the Archa Board as a Non-Executive Director, effective immediately.

Paul has held senior roles and board positions at GE Capital, Coles and Australian Payments Plus. His experience spans risk and data management, technology, partnerships and strategy, giving him a rare view across lending, retail and national payments infrastructure. He'll focus on the Board's oversight of risk and strategy as we scale.

Why now

The appointment follows our AU$11m capital raise and new AU$50m debt facility, which boost our capacity to give businesses working capital without personal guarantees. It comes on the back of 184% ARR growth over the past 12 months.

With that growth comes responsibility, and strengthening our governance is the natural next step.

"Archa has reached a stage of financial security and significant growth that reflects the strength of our platform and the trust our customers place in us,"

said Founder and CEO Oliver Kidd.

"As we move into the next phase of maturity, it's the right time to extend our governance framework and bring in additional experience at Board level. Paul's background in risk and strategy is exactly what we need."

‍

For Paul, the opportunity lies in both what Archa has already built and where it's heading next.

"Archa has built something genuinely differentiated in the business payment card and spend management space, and I'm excited to support Oliver and the team as they scale and mature the business,"

Paul said.

"I look forward to contributing to the Board's oversight of risk and strategy as Archa continues to grow."

What it means for customers

More than 2,500 Australian businesses, including the Sydney Roosters and construction firm Higgins, manage AU$200M in annual spend with Archa. Many save upwards of 60 hours of staff time each month by replacing manual expense claims with controlled corporate cards and automated reconciliation.

Paul's experience strengthens the foundations behind that, as we roll out a new suite of products designed to improve access to capital, spend visibility and support for CFOs and finance teams.
